President Donald Trump launched one of his most ferocious verbal assaults yet on Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, directly connecting her and her community to the sprawling, near-billion-dollar Feeding Our Future fraud scandal that has rocked Minnesota.
In a wide-ranging condemnation, the President characterized Omar as a "horrible person" who "hates our country," constantly insults the U.S. Constitution, and harbors deep-seated animosity toward Jewish people. He dismissed her as "totally incompetent" and a "disgrace" to the nation.

Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) confirmed a detail from an April delegation meeting where Omar reportedly stood up for President Trump against a critical European official. According to Luna, Omar told the official, "When we are in here, you are to respect our President."

The Feeding Our Future investigation continues to expand, with the Department of Justice recently indicting its 78th defendant. To date, at least 59 individuals have been convicted for their roles in the scheme, which involved nonprofits in Minnesota receiving vast sums of public money for community services that were never actually provided.
