CaliToday (/2025): The November 2025 security list is dominated by the flagship Galaxy S and Z series, while only one consumer-grade Galaxy A model makes the elite monthly schedule.
Samsung has reinforced its position as the industry leader in Android software support, publishing its official security update schedule for November 2025. The company has publicly committed to delivering monthly Security Maintenance Releases (SMRs) to 42 distinct Galaxy models, underscoring its massive-scale support infrastructure.
This monthly schedule is the most intensive of Samsung's support tiers which also include quarterly and bi-annual schedules. It is reserved almost exclusively for its premium flagship devices, a distinction made clear by the new list.
This commitment is powered by Samsung's new, industry-leading software policy:
Flagship Devices (2024+): Supported for 7 years of both OS and security updates.
Mid-Range/Budget Devices: Receive up to 6 years of OS and security updates.
Legacy Devices (Pre-2024): Continue to receive 4 to 5 years of security updates as per their original policy.
Here is the complete breakdown of the devices receiving the highest-priority monthly updates as of November 2025.
Galaxy S Series (17 Models)
The Galaxy S series remains the backbone of the monthly update list. As the Galaxy S21 line completes its monthly support phase, the S21 FE is confirmed to be transitioning to a quarterly schedule soon. However, all flagships from 2022 onward, including the brand-new Galaxy S25 family, are fully supported.
