DA NANG – Authorities in Da Nang have launched an urgent investigation and a city-wide manhunt following a brazen robbery at a PNJ jewelry store, one of Vietnam's leading jewelry brands. The audacious crime was captured on security cameras, which show a suspect smashing display cases and making off with a substantial amount of gold.
The incident, which has shocked the local community, unfolded in a swift and aggressive "smash-and-grab" style. According to initial reports and the released CCTV footage, the lone suspect entered the store and, without hesitation, used a heavy object to shatter the reinforced glass of several display counters.
The video, now a critical piece of evidence for investigators, shows the perpetrator quickly grabbing handfuls of gold necklaces, bracelets, and other valuable items before fleeing the scene. The entire event was over in a matter of moments, indicating a degree of planning. The total value of the stolen jewelry is still being calculated by PNJ management.
Da Nang City Police were immediately dispatched to the store upon receiving the alarm. They have since cordoned off the premises to conduct a thorough forensic examination, dusting for fingerprints and searching for any evidence the suspect may have left behind.
"This was a very bold and reckless act," a police source stated. "We are treating this with the utmost urgency. Our teams are meticulously reviewing all security footage from the store and surrounding areas to identify the suspect and any potential accomplices or getaway vehicles."

This robbery, due to its daring nature, has raised concerns about retail security in the city. The company is cooperating fully with the police investigation but has not yet released an official public statement.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of the PNJ store or who may have any information regarding the suspect to come forward and contact the Da Nang City Police Department immediately.
