Authorities have issued a decision to criminally detain Nguyen Van Duong (born 1982, residing in An Loc Ward) to investigate the charge of "Murder."

1. A Premeditated Grudge

According to the initial investigation, this was not a random act of violence but a calculated crime born from a long-standing personal conflict.

  • The Motive: Detectives uncovered that Duong and the victim, Ms. T. (born 1972), had been embroiled in a dispute for some time. This animosity drove Duong to plan the murder months in advance.

  • The Weapon Source: In August 2024, fueling his intent to harm the victim, Duong went online to purchase a high-powered air gun and a supply of ammunition via social media, waiting for the right moment to strike.

2. The Night of the Crime: A Deadly Trap

The timeline of the attack, which occurred late at night on December 6, 2025, reveals a ruthless execution:

  • The Lure: Under the cover of darkness, Duong approached Ms. T.'s residence. He first fired a shot to shatter the glass of her front door.

  • The Fatal Shot: Reacting to the noise, Ms. T. opened the door to inspect the damage. At that precise moment, Duong fired a second shot, striking the victim directly in the neck.

  • The Aftermath: Although neighbors rushed Ms. T. to the emergency room immediately, the severity of the wound proved fatal, and she passed away shortly after.

3. Police Raid and Evidence Seized

Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department (CSHS) of Dong Nai Province, in coordination with the An Loc Ward Police, launched an immediate manhunt. Through forensic examination and field operations, they quickly identified and captured Nguyen Van Duong.

During the arrest and search of the suspect's hideout, police seized a significant arsenal:

  • 1 Air Gun (found with a magazine containing 5 bullets).

  • 592 Lead Pellets/Bullets.

  • Various other related exhibits.

Current Status

The Dong Nai Provincial Police are currently expanding the investigation to fully clarify the nature of the conflict and to process Nguyen Van Duong strictly according to the law. The possession of such a large quantity of dangerous ammunition and the calculated nature of the attack are expected to weigh heavily in the prosecution.
