Police Swarm NY AG Letitia James's Properties Amid Fraud Indictment; Homes Plagued by Criminal Relatives

CaliToday (18/11/2025): Reports reveal over 20 police calls for assault, vandalism, and disputes at two homes owned by the embattled AG, as she faces criminal charges for mortgage fraud tied to one of the properties.

Embattled New York Attorney General Letitia James is facing an escalating crisis on two fronts, as explosive investigative reports reveal police have been dispatched to two properties she owns more than two dozen times in recent years primarily for violent disturbances, assault, and domestic conflicts involving her relatives who have criminal records.

The revelations come as James herself is now a criminal defendant. The Virginia property at the center of the disturbances is also the focus of a mortgage fraud indictment handed down against James by a grand jury on October 9, 2025.

The Virginia Fraud Indictment

According to court records, the indictment alleges James committed bank fraud by providing false information on a loan application for the Virginia house.

The indictment states James declared the property would be her "second home" a designation that typically secures a lower, more favorable mortgage interest rate. However, prosecutors allege James never intended to live there and instead immediately used it as a rental property for relatives, an act that constitutes lying to a federally-insured lender.

This Virginia property has been occupied by James’s "fugitive niece," Nakia Thompson, and her three young children since 2020.

A Pattern of Chaos

The New York Post reports that police have been called to the Virginia residence at least 12 times, with multiple days logging two or three separate calls. The emergency dispatches were reportedly for vandalism, intense family disputes, suspicious persons, and general disorderly conduct.

On social media, Thompson has defended her situation, claiming she has "been out of trouble for years." However, police records reportedly contradict this, showing six separate calls to the house in October 2025 alone.

The disturbances are not isolated to the Virginia property. A second house, purchased by James in 2023 and also allegedly provided to relatives with criminal histories, has been a similar drain on local police.

Records show at least 10 police dispatches to that property between April 2024 and April 2025, for incidents including a formally reported assault.

James Claims "Weaponized" Justice

The twin scandals of alleged financial crime and extreme domestic turmoil at her properties are devastating the "anti-corruption prosecutor" image James cultivated, most notably by spearheading high-profile lawsuits against President Donald Trump.

Now finding herself the one facing charges, James has claimed she is the victim of a "politicized justice system."

"This case is not just about me it reflects a justice system that has been weaponized," James declared in a recent statement.

However, legal experts and political observers argue the evidence of financial misrepresentation is difficult to dismiss as mere "politics." A former New York prosecutor commented to Breitbart News:

"Lying on a loan application to get a preferential rate is financial fraud, whether you're an Attorney General or anyone else. No one is above the law not even Letitia James."

Political Fallout

The situation has triggered a political firestorm. Conservative organizations in Virginia are reportedly petitioning for an expanded investigation into James's other financial activities, including her property taxes and maintenance expenses for her personal properties.

Political analysts note that the combination of a criminal indictment and the chaotic family scandals could be a "career-ending" development for James, who was once considered a rising star of the Democratic party's progressive wing.
