ICE San Diego Arrests Two Vietnamese Nationals with Violent Criminal Records for Deportation

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials in San Diego have announced the recent arrests of two Vietnamese nationals, both described as criminal aliens, who are now pending deportation proceedings. The arrests highlight the agency's focus on apprehending and removing non-citizens with serious criminal histories from the United States.

In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on July 30, the ICE San Diego field office confirmed the arrest of Mr. Tai Dang. The agency detailed his extensive and violent criminal past, stating he is a "citizen of Vietnam with a criminal history that includes convictions for homicide, robbery, illegal use of a weapon, and assault."

The agency did not specify the exact time or location of Mr. Dang's arrest but affirmed its commitment to public safety in the statement. "He will remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings," the post read. "ICE will not sit idly by while dangerous criminals hide in American communities."

On the same day, ICE released further information via a video on its official Instagram account. The short clip showed four ICE agents apprehending another Vietnamese individual at an undisclosed location. While the identity of this person was not released, the video provided visual confirmation of a separate enforcement action targeting criminal aliens from Vietnam.

These enforcement actions are part of ICE's ongoing mission to target and remove non-citizens who pose a threat to public safety. Both individuals are now in ICE custody and will undergo immigration court proceedings to finalize their deportation from the United States.
